Education
2019-2023
Massachusetts Institute of
Technology (MIT)
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
with a Concentration in Economics
Cambridge, MA

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a Concentration in Economics.

I enjoy working on controls and engineering systems design. I am interested in robotics and autonomous machines, such as Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs). I also love having the ability to make things, whether its manufacturing my prototypes or seeing my control program in action.
2015-2019
Washingtonville High School
Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors and Mastery in Mathematics and Science
Washingtonville, NY

I grew up in the Hudson Valley of New York, going to Washingtonville High School where I graduated as the Valedictorian at the top of my class. I left the school with memories and friends I will have forever.

My experiences there gave me some of my most defining skills. Whether it was my time as President of National Honor Society, my Friday afternoons spent leading our recycling club, or just the time with my teammates on our Varsity Lacrosse team. I am forever thankful for the time I had there and the people I met along the way.
Experience
2022 - 2023
Lab Assistant
MIT Dynamics and Controls II
Cambridge, MA

I prepare lab materials for instructing students in controls and dynamics. I work with them to develop controllers and debug code for various projects. I also grade assignments and lab work.

Most importantly, I help students develop better conceptual understandings of controls and dynamics. I love seeing someone suddenly make that connection they have been struggling with and knowing I helped bridge that link.
2021 - 2022
CFO
and Energy Systems Team
MIT Engineering System Designs and Development
Cambridge, MA

I was the Chief Finance Officer for a project team developing an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle with a budget of $50,000. I purchase and organize all supply logistics amongst the sub-teams/ sub-systems. I also coordinate with the outside manufacturers for acquiring various supplies.

I am also a member of the Controls and Dynamics team and Energy Systems team. As a member of these teams I have redesigned and manufactured the weight-shifting mechanism responsible for the control of pitch and roll for the vehicle while underwater.
August-December 2021
Director of Communications
MIT EnergyHack
Cambridge, MA

As DOC, I helped to organize MIT's student-run clean energy hackathon along with the year's current leadership team. I developed a new global outreach strategy for first ever hybrid event that boasted applications from all over the world.
I communicated with hackers, interviewed past participants, and coordinated with a professional marketing and outreach coaching firm.
Summer of 2021
Engineering Intern
Jaros Baum & Bolles
New York, NY

Worked on developing and reviewing HVAC systems for Disney’s new Northeastern Headquarters in New York City .
I evaluated thermal loads for various space states, calculated pressure drops in proposed HVAC systems, and developed an in-house calculator to evaluate building infiltration caused by the stack effect and general façade leakage rate in high rises.
Summer 2021
Mentor
MIT Women's Technology Program
Cambridge, MA

Mentored a group of high-school students through their four-week summer program in the MIT Department of Mechanical Engineering helping with their understanding and use of basic principles and ideas of mechanical engineering.

The group chose to design an interactive art display and model the governing physical parameters involved with creating the display.

Met with the group to go over their deliverables and check its validity while ensuring students had a conceptual understanding.
